Sometimes a painting draws you in and asks you to take a second look because it creates a mood, stirs an emotion, contains an energy or just conveys something ordinary in an unordinary way.  These are my goals when I approach a canvas and my tools are color, light, structure, contrast and application.  

My art education has included classes and workshops at the Cincinnati Art Academy, the Powder Factory Studio with Greg Storer, with Chuck Marshall and with artist and author, Lois Griffel of the Cape Cod School of Art.  I have been an officer and/or exhibiting member of the Queen City Art Club, a guild member of the Kennedy Heights Arts Center and The 5300 Group in Cincinnati, OH and The Market Street Group in San Diego.   Currently, I am an exhibiting member of The San Diego Watercolor Society and am represented by Bello Design Group in Cincinnati.. I share the C^3 Studio in San Diego with 2 other wonderful artists.  

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in business administration and spent my professional career directing the investment programs for the pension and profit sharing plans of two Fortune 500 companies in Southwest Ohio.  Now I am primarily retired and enjoy losing my self in the challenge of creating a painting that asks for another look.
